On Shake-a-leg Guided Walking Tours, the experienced and knowledgeable guides, Kerry Herbison and Sharyn Walters, will assist small groups of visitors to immerse themselves in the environment, whilst they marvel at the stunning colours of the ocean and beaches on a leisurely two hour stroll. Shake-a-leg walking tours follow the foreshore and encompass Bicheno's natural wonders such as The Blowhole, The Gulch and Whaler’s Lookout.
As well as talking about the marine and terrestrial environments, Shake-a-leg’s guides tell intriguing tales of Indigenous and European settlers’ history. Each visitor’s experience of beautiful Bicheno is enriched through the unlocking of many of the area’s secrets. There is always a photo opportunity at every turn, and guides will help visitors to capture the best snaps to make their stay even more memorable.
Visitors of all ages and walks of life can experience the tour. Children accompanied by adults are welcome to be part of the walk and several activities have been developed to encourage them to observe the plant/animal/bird and marine life and to take note of the main historic events and places.
Tours leave twice daily and cost $12.50 per adult and $5 for children. Generous Seniors’ and Family discounts apply. Special needs can be catered for and, if bookings are made in advance, the tours can be varied in time or length by negotiation to suit school groups or groups with a particular focus.
